In a world that never stops spinning, Cumberland Falls State Park stands as a haven of natural wonder, inviting travelers to step into a realm where time slows down and dreams come alive. As a seasoned traveler with a heart that beats for adventure, I couldn't resist the allure of this enchanting destination. Cumberland Falls is a masterpiece painted by Mother Nature herself. It's no wonder she has been nicknamed the 'Niagara Falls of the South'. Being from New York myself, I can surely see the resemblance!

Witnessing the Majestic Cumberland Falls: The parking lot is only steps from the roaring cascade of Cumberland Falls, which is an experience that words can hardly capture. The moment I laid eyes on this majestic waterfall, it felt as though time stood still – a memory etched forever in the tapestry of my travels. The rainbow is magnificent and was made as a natural selfie station for sure!
The Dance of Moonbows: Cumberland Falls is famed for its moonbow, a rare lunar rainbow phenomenon that graces the night skies during a full moon. I wasn't fortunate enough to witness this spectacle firsthand because it only happens during a full moon but I hope to someday see it!
Exploring the Natural Treasures: Beyond the falls, Cumberland Falls State Park is a treasure trove of natural wonders waiting to be discovered. Hiking through lush forests, I felt a profound connection with the earth beneath my feet. The sound of rustling leaves and chirping birds formed a symphony that echoed the heartbeat of the wilderness.

Kindling Campfire Stories: We stayed in our van at the camping area and appreciate the natural landscape and spacious spots! The bathrooms were quite clean for a state park!
DO NOT MISS THIS: Cumberland Falls State Park offers a trail that leads to Eagle Falls. Nestled within the lush landscapes of Cumberland Falls State Park, Eagle Falls presents a picturesque scene that captivates the senses. The falls gracefully descend from the rocky cliffs above, forming a delicate veil of water that sparkles in the sunlight.

NOTE:
- Parking is a pull-off with only a couple spots
- Pets are not allowed on this trail (for good reason)
- There are a LOT of stairs and the hike is along the cliffside so take caution if you have small children or are not a seasoned hiker
- If there was heavy rain, trail might be closed
If I only had one day (which I did on this trip), I would see Cumberland Falls first and hike the very short path that starts at the parking lot. Then I would head to Eagle Falls and hike that trail before heading back to camp for smores and a smoky fire to keep the bugs away!

Fellow wanderers, pack your bags, set your compass, and prepare to be swept away by the allure of Cumberland Falls State Park – where dreams are chased and memories are woven into the fabric of a life well-traveled. 🌄🌈 #CumberlandFallsMagic #WanderlustUnveiled
