I always find myself doing hours of research when deciding on a property because it needs to be nestled in the heart of it all so we get the most of every minute of our trip. Sites like Airbnb and the like, never give you the exact address until you book and every listing says "steps from the beach" but they don't say HOW MANY steps.
The Salty Anchor sits directly in the Historic Waterfront district of Gulfport so you can wake up and grab your coffee from Gulfperk (300 feet door to door) and then walk over to the pier and watch the dolphins and sunrise.
The unit is exceptionally clean and I especially love the built-ins and woodworking that has remained since 1920. I prefer unique historic charm over today's generic white and gray institutional-like interior design style. Especially in a place like Gulfport where painted mailboxes and colorful murals are more appreciated by locals and visitors alike.
The host certainly lives up to his Airbnb 'superhost' title. It's obvious that attention to detail is a priority to him.
Stellar location. Charming rental. Walkable to everything in the waterfront district. What more could anyone ask for.
And yes, there is a Pen Pal Guest Adventure Book on the coffee table!
