Our tranquil getaway spanned four nights at Cave Country Campground in Cave City, Kentucky, and it proved to be an oasis of relaxation.
The campsite welcomed us with immaculately groomed grounds, which set the stage for our serene escape. Clean bathrooms and an array of amenities greeted us, showcasing the campground's commitment to comfort.
Despite its cozy size, the offerings were abundant – think an exercise and game room, laundry facilities, a refreshing pool, a dedicated bark park for our furry companions, a charming pavilion, a gazebo, and even the convenience of daily trash service. A testament that good things truly come in compact packages!
I enjoyed my days inside the van, working with the windows open and taking walks with the pup. This was a refreshing change, coming from Florida where the scorching heat keeps us confined within air-conditioned spaces.
Embracing my inner nomad, I am currently embarking a month-long experiment with van life, determined to find out if I'm destined for this adventurous path or if it's a journey better left to the pros. If every day was as picturesque (with perfect weather) as this past week was, I am all in!
