Planning your Kayak Trip
Before setting off on your kayak adventure, ensure you're well-prepared. Wear appropriate gear, and pack essentials like water, sunscreen and bug spray along with your dry bag. If you are in unfamiliar territory, I would highly recommend renting a tour guide! You could end up paddling miles too far without knowing it and then there's no place to dock and you're stuck! You DON'T want to try to paddle up stream. Trust me.
We took our dog (with his own doggie life jacket) and the paddle itself is easy. There's no waves or boats to create a tip hazard. The only downside are the bugs but just bring bug spray and you'll be fine.

Whether you’re new to kayaking or an experienced paddler, the Green River offers one of the most relaxing and scenic kayaking adventures in Kentucky.
